Course Introduction
The Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) pathway programme is developed by the University of Northampton; incorporating TMC Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies and Leadership.
At the initial stage, students have the opportunity to receive a TMC Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies and Leadership, which constitutes the first 120 credits of the total 180 credits in the EMBA programme.
The Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies and Leadership (PGDMSL) provides a ‘vocational-approach’ with a clear work-related emphasis. There is a strong focus on practical skills development alongside the development of requisite knowledge and understanding in the sector.
During the Postgraduate Diploma programme, students will have the opportunity to study in Myanmar at the British University College, and in Vietnam at the University of Technology and Education, for selected modules. This overseas learning also presents students with the opportunity to meet and network with working professionals from various countries.
The final stage of the EMBA, awarded by the University of Northampton, constitutes the last 60 credits of the total 180 credits in the EMBA programme. It is designed to enhance the knowledge and skills that you will develop during the Postgraduate Diploma study; focusing on real-world applicability.
Curriculum Overview
Programme StructurePostgraduate Diploma in Management Studies & Leadership
- Study in Singapore: 4-day classes over 2 weekends (Saturday & Sunday) per module
- Option to Study Overseas for 2 modules: intensive 4-day classes (Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday) per module
10-credit module: 4-day classes over 2 weekends (Saturday & Sunday)
Research Project: 2-day classes over 1 weekend (Saturday & Sunday) followed by monthly consultation with dissertation supervisor

Graduation Requirements
Students who successfully complete and pass the modules stipulated in the course structure will be awarded the Executive MBA.
