The workshop enhances participants’ knowledge on elements of art, facilitating art activities and instilling art appreciation in young children. Participants will explore different types of art mediums and art forms and apply what they have learned about the elements of art. Participants will be able to apply knowledge, skills and attitude in displaying different works of art in 2D and 3 D forms esthetically.
Irene Tan has been in the Early Childhood arena for more than 12 years. Her involvement and passion for Early Childhood education started when she was sponsored by NTUC Childcare Co-operative Limited to receive training in Specialist Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education at RTRC Asia, Singapore. She went on to receive a Master of Science in Early Childhood Education from Wheelock College, Massachusetts, one of the leading institutions for Early Childhood Education in the world.Irene is also professionally trained in visual arts and is currently an associate lecturer with SEED Institute. She has mentored and conducted field supervision to in-service and pre-service pre-school teacher students to equip them with the knowledge and skills of a professional preschool teacher in a pre-school setting.As an Alumni of Wheelock College, Irene continues to spread her passion for children and conducts in-centre parenting talks at various preschools and trainings at SEED Institute.
