Course introduction

Introduction

MDIS College offers a diverse range of preparatory courses ranging from Singapore- Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Ordinary and Advanced Level), Admissions Exercise for International Students (AEIS), Cambridge International Advanced Level, Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and Cambridge International Lower Secondary. Since its establishment in 2006, it has set a proven track record of preparing students to excel academically and has provided a strong foundation for them to be successful at higher levels of tertiary education in Singapore.

The Cambridge international curriculum is recognised by universities and employers worldwide. The Preparatory Course for Cambridge International Advanced Level is designed for students who have completed GCE O-Level or Cambridge IGCSE with acceptable results, to gain access to undergraduate studies locally and internationally. It builds on the foundations of Cambridge Upper Secondary.

Upon completion of the course, students will sit for the Cambridge International A Level examination which is conducted by the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE)

Cambridge IGCSE examinations are held twice a year (May/June and Oct/Nov) and candidates are to register with MDIS College before the closing dates.

Entry Requirements

All applicants must be of age 17 and above, and must obtain one of the following requirements:

Admission Requirements
3 Credits in GCE ‘O’ Level or equivalent
Year 10 or equivalent

English Language Requirements
Pass in GCE ‘O’ Level English Language OR
Year 10 English OR
Certificate in English (CIE) OR
Online English Placement Test conducted by MDIS College OR
Achieve score of 75 and above in Duolingo English Test OR
Equivalent
