Article on - TED Awards 2019 Roundup: Celebrating Excellence in Training

On 20 November 2019, seven companies were represented at the 2019 JobsCentral Learning Training & Education Development (T.E.D.) Awards to receive recognition for their achievements in education and training. Held at the Westin this year, the annual ceremony lauds the efforts of private education institutes (P.E.I.s) and corporate training providers (C.T.P.s), in addressing learning needs, resolving challenges and demonstrating success in delivering category-specific initiatives.

A seven-member jury, made up of prestigious individuals brought together by the Society for Human Resource Management (S.H.R.M.), determined the winners in each category after a deep evaluation of their merits. Candidates were judged through a two-step process on three evaluation criteria: Innovation in the Initiative, Impact on Stakeholders, and Sustainability and Scalability.

The results are below:

  • PSB Academy was the grand winner in the Higher Education category, sweeping awards across six different areas: Accounting, Audit & Taxation, Computer Science / IT, Engineering, Languages / Literature, Science and Tourism & Hospitality.
  • Not far behind it, At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy took home awards in the Food & Beverages, Culinary Arts, and Management categories. Its commitment to furthering education in the F & B sector was evident, as it also won for Food & Beverages and Culinary Arts under the Short Term Training Courses category.
  • The rest of the awards went to a diverse range of winners, in proof of the many excellent opportunities for further learning available currently. Under the Higher Education category, TMC Academy was awarded for Psychology & Counselling and Academies Australasia College for Tourism & Hospitality.
  • Under the Short Term Training Courses category, Le Wagon Singapore was awarded for Computer Science & IT and Dental Training Academy for Healthcare.
