Jobscentral Learning T.E.D. Awards 2019 Spotlight
PSB Academy offers a range of hospitality courses in Singapore as part-time and/or full-time study. The award acknowledges the options on offer for polytechnic graduates up to working professionals, from Diplomas in Global Hospitality Management and Tourism and Hospitality Management to top-up honours degrees with partnered universities. The latter delve deeper into relevant skills such as hospitality supervision, training skills and hospitality business development.
"This awards obviously earmarks the hospitality assurance that our programmes offer in our school," said Dr Melissa Low, Assistant Head of School, School of Business & Management. "Definitely, we are very happy and honoured to get this award."
She elaborated: "This award is a testament to show that we are preparing our students with employable skills." For example, their Global Hospitality Management diploma includes an industrial attachment or internship with some of Singapore's famous hotels, like The Fullerton Hotel Singapore and The Ritz-Carlton, to better prepare students for their future careers.
The Academy has won not only for its industry attachment options, but also for its quality teaching pedagogies developed with the help of top university partners, that ensure its students receive a thorough and rigourous education in their field of choice. To stay relevant, PSB Academy consults with a network of industry partners as well as their Academic Advisory Panels. These panels feature veteran professionals who help keep programmes current and up-to-date with industry trends.
The TED Awards is a symbol of recognition that PSB Academy is an excellent option for those wishing to embark on, or improve their skills in, a career in hospitality and tourism management.
