The NEBOSH International General Certificate is also suitable for those embarking on a career in health and safety, providing a sound basis for progression on to the NEBOSH International Diploma. No previous health and safety knowledge is required.

Holders of NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety are entitled to Associate Membership (AIOSH) of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
Student to Teacher Ratio:

Student to teacher ratio is 1:15

Mode of Assessment:

There will be a Written Examination and Practical Assessment for the course. This is a classroom based learning programme.

Element 4 - Work equipment hazards and risk control
Element 5 - Electical safety
Element 6 - Fire safety
Element 7 - Chemical and biological health hazards and risk control
Element 8 - Physical and psychological health hazards and risk control

Unit GC3: Health and safety application
Learning outcomes:
▪ Practical application of knowledge and understanding



Entry Requirements


  • Academic Level: GCE O Levels
  • Language Proficiency: WPLN Level 6
  • Work experience: 3-4 years
