Students will learn colour correction and manipulation to achieve desired results, and will also be required to use what they have learned in colour theory and colour psychology to digitally produce graphic design works that meet specific objectives. Students will explore and learn how to fully utilise modern day digital media and equipment to its fullest potential in order to create modern digital design works depending on their specialisation. Learners will identify the essential computer/digital hardware tools and softwares for digital imaging and design.

Course Outline

• 2D ( Basic digital imaging softwares bitmap graphics, photo editing, photo manipulation, bitmap graphics for web)
• Bitmap graphics resolution formats (EG; Dpi, RGB, CMYK)
• Using digital design imaging softwares to enhance visual communication
• Both essential hardware and software tools required to create modern day digital design work.
• This should also include:
• Inputting source materials using digital technology ( Digtal cameras, scanners Tablets)
• Storing of files in appropriate formats for further development, CDROM, CD writer, DVD writer, External portable hard disk and thumb drive.
