Programme Description
Progression to Further Studies
This programme provides a pathway to the following Master’s Degree programmes:

  • Master of Education
  • Master of Education in Early Childhood Education
  • Master of Education in Inclusive and Special Education
Graduation & Degree Awarded
Students who successfully complete and pass the modules stipulated in the programme structure will be awarded the Graduate Certificate of Education Studies from Monash UniversityAustralia.
The Graduate Certificate will be the same as that awarded to the on-campus graduates in Australia.

This programme consists of two 12-point units:
For Master of Education Track:

  • Interacting with research in education contexts
  • Investigating education issues in global contexts

24 Credit-Point Programme

  • Applicants must have successfully completed a recognised Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification with a pass (50% average); OR
  • Applicants with 5 years relevant full-time informal learning, with a recommendation letter or reference from an employer will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
English Requirement
  • IELTS (Academic): 6.5 overall score, with minimum band scores: Listening: 6.0, Reading: 6.0, Writing: 6.0 and Speaking: 6.0; OR
  • Pearson Test of English (Academic): 58 Overall score, with minimum scores: Listening: 50, Reading: 50, Speaking: 50 and Writing: 50; OR
  • TOEFL Internet-Based Test: 79 Overall score, with minimum scores: Reading: 13, Listening: 12, Speaking: 18 and Writing: 21; OR
  • An equivalent English language test approved by the University
Applicants are required to meet the University’s English language requirement.
In all cases, the final decision on admission to the programme rests with the University.


Duration & Intake

Programme Duration

Each term is a 3-month period covering 1 course of study. Each unit consists of 20 contact hours and will be conducted on week 4 or week 5 of the term, from Thursday till Sunday, after office hours in the evenings and/or over the weekends/public holidays.

The total tuition fee covers university registration, lectures/tutorials/workshops and main assessments such as assignments/tests/examinations/projects (where applicable), programme materials in digital format, Degree (if earned) and transcript.

Payment for this fee will be included in the first instalment.
The Student Development Fee covers the provision of a comprehensive range of initiatives aimed at enhancing the career and industry-readiness of Kaplan students, such as programmes aimed at improving interpersonal skills, technical and digital skills, as well as career advisory and job matching services. All fees indicated are inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST) at the prevailing rate. The prevailing GST rate from 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2023 is 8%. From 1 January 2024, the GST rate will increase to 9%. For more information on the GST revision, please refer to the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) website. Please refer to the official price list for a detailed breakdown.

Education Loan
Choice of flexible repayment schemes available to suit your needs.
  • Standard Repayment: Pay your monthly instalments (principal and interest) once your loan is disbursed.
  • Partial Repayment: Pay partial instalments for up to 3 years or till the end of your programme, whichever is earlier. Standard monthly instalments (principal and interest) will commence thereafter.
  • Interest Servicing: Pay only interest for up to 3 years or till the end of your programme, whichever is earlier. Standard monthly instalments (principal and interest) will commence thereafter.
  • Flexible repayment tenure of up to 8 years.
Commencement Date
There are 2 intakes per year:

– July

Minimum class size: 20 students
Class may commence with fewer students than indicated above, subject to resource availability. In the event of cancellation, you will be notified at least 1 week before the programme commencement date, stated in your student contract with Kaplan, and our consultants will contact you to advise on a backup plan.
Maximum allowed candidature period: 3 years
If a student fails to complete the programme within the candidature period, they will not be entitled to any recourse or refund.
