Course introduction


Professional Chinese in Finance and Accounting aims to help business executives understand finance and accounting terms in Chinese, and to acquire a good understanding of the financial market and business culture in China.

Course Highlights

  • Deal with Chinese counterparts or clients more effectively with enhanced business vocabulary.
  • Hone cultural sensitivity to build stronger rapport and avoid cultural faux pas.
  • Improve competency in communication, presentation and translation of English-Chinese documents.

Trainer's Profile
Our PCFA trainer has more than 10 years of experience specialising in business terminology, presentation, translation, business writing, and cross-cultural communication skills in Chinese. The trainer conducts courses and workshops for major banks, statutory boards, public-listed companies and other organizations.

A native speaker from China, the trainer is bilingual in English and Chinese. By tapping on work experiences in the corporate environment in Singapore, coupled with the intimate knowledge of the Chinese market and history of in working with Chinese clients, make the training relevant and effective.

Entry Requirements

  • Minimum C6 in GCE 'O' Level Chinese or equivalent.
  • Applicants to present educational certificate(s) as proof of eligibility.

b) Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP)
  • NTUC members enjoy 50% unfunded course fee support, capped at $250 annually.*
  • Applicant must be a NTUC member before course commencement, throughout the duration of the course, and at the point of claim.
  • The course must commence within the subsidy supported period.
  • Unfunded course fee must be $20 and above.
  • Applicants must be self-sponsored.
  • Achieved a minimum attendance rate of 75%.
  • Sat for post-course test by the stipulated deadline.
  • UTAP application must be submitted within 6 months after course completion.

*Unfunded course fee refers to the balance course fee payable after applicable government subsidy. This excludes GST, registration fees, miscellaneous fees etc.

c) SkillsFuture Credit (SFC)
  • Receive an opening credit of $500 that will not expire and periodic top-ups from the Government to offset the course fee of approved skills-related courses.
  • Applicable to Singapore Citizens, aged 25 years and above.
  • Applicants must be self-sponsored.

d) Post-Secondary Education Account (PSEA) Fund
  • Applicants may utilise funds in their own and/or their sibling(s)’ PSEA for the payment of tuition fee and selected course fees, on top of the above-mentioned government course subsidies.
  • Applicable to Singapore Citizens or applicants with siblings who have PSEA funds, aged 30 years and below.
  • Applicants must be self-sponsored.
