  • Export control of high technology products including restriction to certain countries (part of CUSTOMS function in a company)
  • Customs duty/tax levy understanding
  • Environmental protection during  transportation (e.g. against humidity)
  • Factory finished goods inventory vs. postponement of base product at distribution centers
  • Factory direct ship vs. intermediate stocking of finished goods
  • Break bulk at cross dock for subsequent transshipment (international and domestic)
  • Port pair matching for desired length of transportation (consideration for frequency and destination of air/sea transport to meet business requirements)

  • Acknowledgement of receipt of goods
  • Track & trace time sensitive goods

Module 10: Project Presentation
  • Each Group given 20 mins to present their project
