Introduction

Students would be given the opportunity to learn the basis of business studies in order to perform well in the business organizations. The well designed curriculum equips the students with the right skills, knowledge and mindset in fulfilling their respective roles well.


Course Objectives
This course is designed to help students develop expertise of various functions in business. This course aims to meet the needs of foundation business level for students to develop a strong start and a successful career in today’s business organizations.


Assessment
A range of assignments with written and practical examinations.


Award of Certificate
Upon successful completion of the course, and a minimum of 80% attendance, students will receive a Certificate in Foundational Business Studies, awarded by KLC International Institute.

Admission Requirements

• At least 16 years old AND
• Minimum 9 years formal education
• GCE “N” Level Certificate OR
• NITEC OR
• Other appropriate Foundation/Certificate programme from other recognized local/overseas institute maybe considered on case by case

• Credit in GCE “N” Level English OR
• GCE “O” Level D7
• IELTS 4.5 (General) OR Workplace Literacy SOA 4 OR
• KLCII Certificate in Proficiency Level 2 or its equivalent OR
• English Proficiency maybe considered sufficient if applicant possesses a certificate/foundation from a recognized institution where English was the medium of instruction OR
• Graduated from high school where English is the medium of instruction
