Course introduction

Introduction


Science seeks answers to some of the most significant questions facing humankind. The extent of climate change, the best medicines to treat cancer, the most effective ways to protect endangered animals - and many other challenges - all require answers from science.

Our Bachelor of Science (Molecular Biology) is a programme that provides students the opportunity to focus on subjects directly related to Molecular Biology as opposed to a generic science degree. This degree allows students to develop skills that are highly regarded and highly valued in the biotechnology and medical bioscience industries

Entry Requirements


Local Student Admission

Admission Requirements


The admission requirements are:

  • GCE ‘A’-Levels or STPM; OR
  • Local Science-related diploma in relevant areas with average ‘C’ grade; OR

  • Local Engineering diploma with Calculus Mathematics background and has a ‘C’ average grade may be considered; OR
  • PSB Academy Foundation Diploma in Life Sciences with an average ‘C’ grade, with a grade no lower than 'D' in any of the units; other than Chemistry where a minimum 'C' grade is required.

English Language Requirement
  • GCE 'O' level English (grade 1 to 6) or equivalent; OR
  • IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0 with no individual band score less than 6.0; OR
  • TOEFL Paper-based Test - a minimum overall score of 550 with a score of 5 or more in the Test of Written English
  • TOEFL Internet-based Test - a minimum overall score of 60 with a minimum for SLR 18; W 22
