This part-time Diploma is offered to eligible applicants who need to obtain advanced standing for articulation to the final year (Level 3) of the Warwick BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Care & Education.This Course is specially designed to cover equitable course work and formal assessments equivalent to Level 2 of Warwick degree for holders of Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education-Teaching or Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education-Leadership (accredited by the Preschool Qualification Accreditation Committee of the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports).
Mode of Delivery
Diploma in Leadership (Route A) Bridging Modules
There are two modules to be taught by Warwick tutor over two weeks of intensive block teaching. Pre-course study guide and reading materials will be distributed to students prior to commencement of class for their course preparation. The duration of Bridging Module is 3 month period.
Module 1: Birth to eight years
Module 2: Policy, Principles, Practice and Play
Diploma in Teaching (Route B) Top-Up Modules
This is a 9-month part-time Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education course taught by KLC International Institute faculty and validated by the University of Warwick.
Module 1: Current Issues and Research in Early Childhood Care and Education.
Module 2: Designing The Early Childhood Care and Education Curriculum.
Module 3: Understanding and Implementing Action Research in Early Childhood Care and Education.
Award of Certificate
On completion of Route A or Route B, successful candidates will be awarded the Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education by the University of Warwick.
