Course introduction

Introduction


The aim of the Certificate in Business Studies is to give students an introduction to Business Management to continue Higher Education qualification or to commence a career in one of a wide range of industries. Graduates of the course will be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of the basic underlying academic concepts and principles associated with the broader discipline of Management.


Course Duration
Full-time: 4 months
Part-time: 6 months

Minimum Age
17 years or above
 
Entry Requirements

Minimum Academic Entry Requirement
•  Singapore GCE O, N Levels or NITEC or
•  Completion of equivalent middle high school qualification
(Year 10-11) or
•  Pass in appropriate Foundation / Certificate programme; or
•  Mature Entry Route (MER) minimum age of 21 assessed on a case-by-case basis
 
Minimum English Language Entry Requirement
•  GCE ‘O’ level D7 or
•  PCE-Upper Intermediate grade LSBF English language
certificate, or the equivalent.
•  All international students for whom English is not their
first language must provide evidence of their linguistic
ability by gaining a minimum level of IELTS 5.0/TOEFL 500
or equivalent, prior to receiving an offer for the course.
 
Exceptions
Students, who have other qualifications, will be assessed on a
case-by-case basis.

Part-Time: 30 hours

PR, non-student pass: 75%
