Course objectives:

This certificate course will give you

Modules:

C1101            Office Computing


This module provides lessons and topics on word processing, spreadsheets, presentation and databases
applications.

C1102            Introduction to Computer Systems and Programming

The module is a one of the foundation modules in the Certificate of Information Technology, in which it allows students to understand the underlying theoretical concepts of computers, its structures, components and organizations in order for students to eventually create good programs that will run efficiently and effectively.

C1103            Computer Networks and Administration

This module introduces students to the components of a computer network, hardware and devices use, its topologies and basic networking structure. It teaches students how to configure and maintain local or wide area network. The student will also learn how to troubleshoot any networking problems.

C2203            Business Information Systems

Business Information System provides key understanding of incorporating the concepts of IT with Business. Today most organizations and enterprise apply IT or uses IT to support their business process and operations, decision-making as well as for it to be competitive. This course focuses on the different types of Business Information System and how these types can be incorporated into Business processes and operations.  It introduces ways to acquire and develop Business Information System and a way to secure and manage the system.

The course fees are due, and is payable only as a 1-time payment.

Minimum GCE ‘O’ level (or) 10 years of General Education (or) Equivalent

English Language Proficiency Requirement:

Completion Criteria:

Minimum 75% attendance for Local/ PR & Non Student Pass Holders
Minimum 90% attendance for International Student
Must pass all the examinations and assessments for all modules

Certification:

Upon completion of this course, students will be awarded Genetic Computer School Certificate in Information Technology

Progression Pathway:

Upon completion, students can advance to Genetic Computer School International Diploma
