Introduction
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is an examination that tests your English ability in academic contexts. It is an examination for candidates wishing to study at undergraduate or postgraduate levels, and for those seeking professional registration. IELTS is accepted by most English-speaking academic institutions and various professional organizations. It is also a requirement for immigration to some countries.
Our Preparatory Course for International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is designed to familiarize students with the types of tasks typically founded in the IELTS. The preparatory course will enable students to build and enhance their four language skills comprising listening, reading writing and speaking.
This preparatory course offers 3-month (200 hours) of intensive preparation for the IELTS Test, which comprises several sections: Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking, Grammar and Mock Test.

Course Objectives
The objective of this course is to provide intensive English training for students who intend to take IELTS Examination. It will focus on developing the academic English skills required to score well in the IELTS Academic examination.
Mode of Delivery
- Face-to-face classroom-based teaching (1 trainer with up to 18 course participants per group).
- Wide variety of English materials used throughout the course of the study.
- Use of interesting presentations and interactive activities in teaching.
- Students’ critical involvement in presentations, exercises and pair and group work.
- Interactive technology and resources to support learning.
- Taught by qualified and experienced IELTS teachers
Assessment
There will not be any final examination or exit test for this preparatory course. Upon successful completion of this preparatory course, students should feel confident to register and take the IELTS test at one of the accredited examination centres. Our IELTS students will be guided and advised on IELTS test and application process.

International English Language Testing System Test Report Form (Test Results) issued by International English Language Testing System (UK)
Admission Requirements
- 16 years and above
- Have achieved a certificate of English Proficiency (CEP) Level 3 offered by KLC International Institute OR
- Other qualifications from professional institutes may be considered on a case-by-case basic OR
- Take Placement Test to determine if you are suitable for the IELTS class

NTUC-SEP Funding
To be eligible for NTUC-SEP funding assistance, NTUC members must meet the following criteria:
- Singaporean or Singapore permanent resident
- Gainfully employed throughout course duration (including exams)
- Must be a first time application for a course. NTUC-SEP will not fund courses which were previously funded through company sponsorship or other types of funding.
- Paid-up NTUC membership fees throughout whole course duration and at the point of claim
- Attend only ONE course at any ONE time
WDA Normal Training Support Scheme - 70% & 90%
To qualify, you need to meet the following criteria:
- Your organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
- Employment size of not more than 200
- Trainee must be a Singapore Citizen (*Permanent Residents of Singapore also qualify for higher funding for certifiable courses supported by WDA, except for Academic CET courses at the Polytechnics/ ITE)
- Trainee must be a bona fide employee (i.e. hired in accordance with Employment Act) and fully employer sponsored for the training)
Workfare Training Support (WTS Scheme – 95%)
To qualify, you need to meet the following criteria:
- are a Singapore citizen;
- are aged 35 years or over;
- have a monthly income of not more than $1,900
