Entry Requirements


Local and International Application Entry Requirements
All applicants must be of age 17 and above, and must obtain one of the following requirements:
For Year 1 entry

  • MDIS International Foundation Diploma in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Art OR
  • At least two GCE 'A' Levels OR
  • Relevant foundation diploma qualifications in Information Technology related disciplines awarded by other Private Education Institutions (PEIs) (equivalent to pathway programme) with an entry requirement of 10 years of formal education OR
  • MDIS International Foundation Diploma in Information Technology
For Year 2 entry
  • MDIS Higher Diploma in Information Technology OR
  • MDIS Higher Diploma in Ethical Hacking and Forensic Investigations Countermeasures OR
  • MDIS Higher Diploma in Information Technology and Cybersecurity OR
  • Relevant diploma level qualifications in Information Technology related disciplines awarded by other Private Education Institutions (PEIs) (equivalent to 1st year EDP) with an entry requirement of 12 years of formal education
For Year 3 entry
  • Relevant local/overseas polytechnic diplomas in Information Technology related disciplines with an entry requirement of 10 years of formal education OR
  • Higher National Diploma level qualifications in Information Technology related disciplines OR
  • Relevant PEIs  qualifications (equivalent to 1st and 2nd year EDP) in areas related to Information Technology with entry requirement of 12 years of formal education
English Language Requirements
The applicant is required to achieve one of the following:
  • C6 in English at GCE 'O' Levels OR
  • IELTS 6.0 (with no elements lower than 5.5) OR
  • MDIS Professional Certificate in English OR
  • Pass MDIS English Placement Test OR
  • Equivalent
