The Master of Environmental Management and Sustainability (MEMS) is designed for professionals seeking to lead the charge in addressing the world’s most pressing environmental challenges. To complete the program, students must pass modules totaling 120 units.*
Consisting of 40 units of core modules, 20 units of compulsory modules
and 60 units of directed modules. Each module is 10 units unless stated otherwise.

Entry Requirements
Minimum Academic Level
Pathway 1 (120 Units)
- a 3-year Bachelor Degree (AQF Level 7) with at least a related* major;
or
- a 3-year Bachelor Degree (AQF Level 7) in a nonrelated* discipline plus a Graduate Certificate or a Graduate Diploma (AQF Level 8) in a non-related* discipline;
or
- a 4-year Bachelor (Honours) degree (AQF Level 8) in a non-related* discipline;
or
- a UoN Bachelor of Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety (BEnvOHS)
Pathway 2 (80 Units)
- a 4-year Bachelor (Honours) Degree (AQF Level 8) in a related* discipline;
or
- a 3-year Bachelor Degree (AQF Level 7) plus a Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma (AQF Level 8) in a related* discipline;
or
- a UoN Graduate Certificate in Environmental Management and Sustainability plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience**
*Related major, discipline and work experience include, but is not limited to, environmental science, spatial science and/or business management.

Minimum Language Proficiency
Applicants for this program must satisfy a minimum English Language Proficiency Standard equivalent to an IELTS overall minimum of 6.5 with no subtest result below 6.0.
