What will our future phones and devices do? How will our cars, houses and appliances connect seamlessly in day-to-day life?
In this Degree programme, you will learn the theory, design, techniques and practices required to develop software systems for the internet, cloud and mobile devices, with a focus on client-server and mobile applications.
You will also explore advanced web programming, mobile application development, software development frameworks, databases, web and mobile computing, and IT professional practice project.
In the final year of your programme, you will take part in an IT Professional Practice Project unit. This will include working in a team with other students and consulting with real clients to recommend, develop and implement new technologies to solve business problems.
Students have the option to enrol in either single or double majors.

*Units common to both majors need to be taken only once. Students may be required to complete two general electives. Also, students may be required to complete ICT 167 Principle of Computer Science if they are not exempted.

Students with Murdoch University-recognised Kaplan Diplomas or relevant Private Diplomas will be given up to 8-modules exemptions while Polytechnic Diplomas will be given up to 12-module exemptions and gain entry to Year 2 of the programme. As students can gain entry direct to Year 2 of the programme, they can complete the programme in 16 months instead of 28 months.
