About the Programme
The Bachelor of Science (Honours) International Tourism, Hospitality and Events programme has been designed to give students the ideal balance between a broad understanding of business while developing their specialised knowledge in international tourism, hospitality and events within a global context.
This programme supports students’ academic skills development and employability opportunities by providing knowledge of contemporary business management models and frameworks while developing the skills necessary for employment within these dynamic sectors.
The Bachelor of Science (Honours) International Tourism, Hospitality and Events programme includes specialised modules that cover key issues for international tourism, hospitality and event managers, as well as event design, planning and production, and address the global challenges and future of tourism. There is also a module on international hospitality management, which will give students a wider perspective on operational practices and strategic decision-making processes.
 
Graduation & Degree Awarded
Students who successfully complete and pass the modules stipulated in the programme structure will be awarded the Bachelor of Science (Honours) International Tourism, Hospitality and Events from Northumbria University, United Kingdom.
The Bachelor’s Degree will be the same as that awarded to the on-campus graduates in the United Kingdom.

    Applicants with Northumbria University-recognised Kaplan Advanced Diplomas or private Advanced Diplomas will be exempted from Year 1 (Level 5) of the programme and can gain entry to Year 2 (Level 6) of the programme.

Academic Requirements
This Degree programme accepts a wide range of qualifications, which includes:
Level 5 Entry
  • Kaplan Diploma
  • Polytechnic Diploma
  • BTEC HNC
  • Other Diplomas or foreign qualifications will be assessed on a case-by-case basis
Level 6 Entry
  • Kaplan Advanced Diploma in relevant subject area
  • BTEC HND
  • Foundation Degree
  • Other equivalent Advanced Diploma in relevant subject area
English Language Requirements
  • GCE O-Level English language subject (Grade C6 and above); OR
  • IELTS 6.0 with 5.5 in all components
all cases, the final decision on admission to the programme rests with the university.
Work Experience
  • When required, work experience will be applied as part of the admissions process. Any work experience assessment and related admissions decisions will be conducted by the University, and lead to the recognition of the achievement of learning outcomes and the award of University Credit.

The total tuition fee covers university registration, lectures / tutorials / workshops and assessments such as assignments / tests / examinations / projects (where applicable), programme materials in digital format, Degree (if earned) and transcript.

Education Loan
Choice of flexible repayment schemes available to suit your needs.
  • Standard Repayment: Pay your monthly instalments (principal and interest) once your loan is disbursed.
  • Partial Repayment: Pay partial instalments for up to 3 years or till the end of your programme, whichever is earlier. Standard monthly instalments (principal and interest) will commence thereafter.
  • Interest Servicing: Pay only interest for up to 3 years or till the end of your programme, whichever is earlier. Standard monthly instalments (principal and interest) will commence thereafter.
