Course introduction

Introduction


Master of Science Banking and Finance provides a strong grounding in finance with a specialist knowledge of banking. It offers theoretical as well as practical insight into banking practice and regulatory frameworks, corporate finance, and international financial architecture. This course is designed for students from a variety of backgrounds and does not require any previous training in economics or finance. A particular strength is our focus on the practical application of key banking and finance concepts, financial reporting and risk management tools.



Entry Requirements


Academic Requirements
Applicants must have the following:

1. Minimum Second-Class Honours degree in any discipline or an equivalent professional qualification; and
2. High school leaving Mathematics (eg ‘A’ Level) is preferred                       
For admission of matured students that do not meet the entry requirements, they should be at least 30 years old and have at least 8 years of prior learning or working experience in the relevant fields.

To qualify as a mature applicant, you are required to submit a Personal Statement of not more than 200 words and 2 Referee Reports from at least one employer. Shortlisted applicants may be required to attend an interview.
