Course introduction


Incorporating both cooperative learning and collaborative learning, blended with technology-enabled activities, this course aims to equip participants with the skills to provide team support to team members while taking into consideration diversity issues and to apply effective communication techniques to achieve individual and team goals.

Area of Studies

Learning Outcomes: 
- Define and align team goals with departmental and organisational goals
- Define own and individual roles within the team and work within the team and organisation dynamics
- Maintain open communication with team members by sharing information
- Listen to and contribute ideas and skills using appropriate communication techniques to achieve team goals
- Demonstrate trust, respect and support towards team members in daily activities to achieve team goals
- Identify potential areas of conflict with team members and methods to overcome them, taking into consideration diversity issues
- Identify and resolve issues and concerns through collaborative activities with supervisor
- Demonstrate responsibility and commitment for work done and to the achievement of individual and team goals
- Accept and provide feedback, advice and assistance in a considerate and constructive manner to accomplish task assigned
- Recommend improvements to established policies and procedures in a proactive manner

Day 1: 9.00pm to 6.00pm
Day 2: 9.00am to 5.30pm
Assessment Day: 30 minutes

*Funding Information
1 Singaporeans and PRs of at least 21 years of age are eligible for SSG funding.
2 SkillsFuture Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy is for Singapore Citizen 40 years and above
3 Workfare Training Support (WTS) is for Singapore Citizens:

  • aged 35 years and above (13 years and above for Person With Disabilities); and
  • Earn a monthly income of not more than $2,000
**SMEs are defined as companies with: (i) at least 30% local shareholding; AND (ii) Group annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million OR Group employment size of not more than 200 employees.
SkillsFuture Credit
All Singaporeans aged 25 and above can use their $500 SkillsFuture Credit from the government to pay for a wide range of approved skills-related courses. Visit the SkillsFuture Credit website to choose from the courses available on the SkillsFuture Credit course directory.
Funding Validity Period: 08 May 2018 to 07 May 2020
Funding Requirements
In order to enjoy the funding, learners must (1) achieve at least 75% course attendance and (2) successfully complete assessment and certified as ‘Competent’.
Absentee Payroll (only for company sponsored trainings)
  • A non–SME company is eligible for absentee payroll 80% of hourly basic salary, capped at $4.50/hr
  • A SME company is eligible for 80% of hourly basic salary, capped at $7.50/hr
