Graduates will be equipped to effectively apply and practise IP management skills in various phases of the innovation lifecycle, including creation, protection and exploitation. Possible career options include:
- patent agency.
- innovation and R&D management and advisory.
- IP management or IP technology consultancy/advisory.
The Applicant should:
- be a Singapore Citizen, a Singapore Permanent Resident or a resident of Singapore.
- minimally have a recognised Bachelor's degree or equivalent. For Patent Agency and IP Technology specialisation, a Science, Engineering or Technical degree is preferred.
- be at least 21 years old.
- have at least two years of working experience.
Duration & Intake
The MIPIM curriculum builds on a common core foundation on IP law and IP management. It is followed by training in specialised domain knowledge and skills through completing courses in one of the three specialisation tracks. Individuals could opt for multiple pathways in which they may graduate with a Graduate Diploma or a Master's Degree.

Professional Conversion Programme for IP Professionals (IP-PCP)
A collaboration between IPOS and the Workforce SG (WSG), the IP-PCP provides course fee and salary support to eligible companies whose employees undertake IP training through the MIPIM program

SkillsFuture Study Award
The SkillsFuture Study Award for Intellectual Property (IP) Sector is targeted at early to mid-career Singaporeans seeking to acquire or level up their IP skills. Successful applicants will each receive S$5,000, which can be used to defray expenses associated with continuing education and training for career development. The award is bond-free.
