Introduction


Mechanical & Electrical Engineering is needed in a wide area of the engineering industry. It is used in automotive, energy sectors, construction and biomedical industries. Modern day engineering uses innovative design and technologies to develop cutting-edge products and systems.

Mechanical & Electrical Engineering provides a broad-based education that enables you to excel in diverse career choices. At this level, you will learn the mechanical principles that are interfaced with electrical principles, fluid dynamics, Green Energy Design and its Application, Workplace Safety and Health Practice and Professions in Context.

Graduates from this course can look forward to a career in Construction industry – designs and builds infrastructure, buildings and buildings services and Rail industry – design, construct, manage and maintain rail system components from trains and tracks to electrical power systems and train control systems.

The curriculum will include recent innovate skills for engaging the more challenging and complex needs in the industry. A focus on working in groups and classroom communication and collaboration are essential to prepare students for the future. In this course, you will acquire these skills through industry based projects, case studies and assignments.


Graduation and Degree
Students who pass all required assessments and assignments will be awarded a Diploma in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering awarded by Coleman College. Graduates who wish to further their studies in this field may apply for Higher Diploma in Machanical Engineering awarded by Coleman Colege.

Entry Requirements


Age Minimum 17 years and above.
Academic Qualification GCE ‘O’ level with 3 subjects passes. English plus any other 2 subjects or; Higher NITEC or equivalent foreign qualification with at least 1 year of working experience.

OR

Matured students: At least 30 years old with at least 8 years of working experience will be considered on an individual basis.
Language Proficiency IELTS 5.5 or equivalent
