SkillsFuture – Over 500 Study Awards Available
As part of the national movement to encourage lifelong learning, the SkillsFuture Study Awards aim to incentivise and motivate Singaporeans to advance their specialist skills.
The SkillsFuture Study Award is catered specifically toward early to mid-career professionals on two fronts.
Firstly, it serves to support Singaporeans who want to deepen and advance their specialist skills, in highlighted sectors that would drive the future of Singapore’s economic growth.
Secondly, the Award is targeted at professionals who are experts in their field of work. The Study Award looks to encourage learning of other related competencies, which can facilitate efficiency at work.
With a monetary value of $5,000, the bond-free Award helps subsidise training course fees that may require a cash top-up. This can be used on top of their SkillsFuture Credit and other government subsidies.
Over 500 study awards are available across various sectors, including accountancy, finance, design, media and more. In due time, the government has plans in place for this number to grow up to 2,000 annually.
