The Photographic Society of Singapore (PSS) was formed in May 1950 in a dingy warehouse in Boat Quay, long before it became one of Singapore's brightest entertainment hubs, when five friends met over coffee to discuss setting up a club to cater to the interests of a growing number of photography enthusiasts in Singapore.
Over the past 60 and growing years, PSS's vision has been to be the leading photographic society in the region catering to the interests and needs of photographers. It aims to promote the appreciation and practice of photography as an art, to provide courses, workshops, seminars and facilities for members to achieve their photographic aims and attend these programs.
PSS also strives to provide platforms for members to showcase their works, to update members of latest photographic technology, equipment and softwares, as well as to contribute to the well being of the society and community with the use of photography.
