The collaboration allows MDC to provide gold-standard CBT training developed and delivered by leaders from the Beck Institute, ensuring that participants gain up-to-date, scientifically validated knowledge and skills. This approach not only enhances professional competence among clinicians but also empowers them to deliver effective, individualised mental health interventions, positively impacting clients, families, and communities.

Course Pre-Requisites


Minimum Degree:

  • Counselling OR
  • Psychology OR
  • Social Study OR
  • Related field
Practional Hours:
  • 1,000 Hours of clinical work experience before submission for certification (not limited to CBT intervention);
  • Internship hours are accepted
  • Log-sheet is not needed



Course Outline


Certified CBT Course

  • Part 1: Foundational CBT Training
    • Essentials I & II -  4 days face to face
    • CBT for Anxiety - 1 video on-demand (20 content hrs)
  • Part 2 (about 6 months later):
    • CBT for Depression - 2-days face to face
    • CBT for Personality Disorders - 1 video on-demand (8 content hrs)
  • Part 3: Supervision
    • Group of 4 – 5 sessions (60 min)

Allen R. Miller, Ph.D., M.B.A., is a licensed psychologist and the Executive Director of the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). With decades of experience, he combines clinical expertise with leadership in behavioral health care. His roles include therapy provision, programme development, research, and international CBT training and supervision.
