This two-day program aims to equip participants with a solid understanding of project management fundamentals and Agile methodologies. Participants will learn how to effectively manage projects from initiation to closure while embracing the principles of Agile for enhanced flexibility and collaboration.

Day 01

  1. Definition of Projects & Definition of Project Management
    • What constitutes a project?
    • The importance of project management in achieving organizational goals.
  2. The Role of Project Manager in Managing Project Success
    • Key responsibilities and skills required for effective project management.
    • Leadership styles and their impact on team dynamics.
  3. The TEN PMBOK Knowledge Areas
    • Overview of each knowledge area (Integration, Scope, Schedule, Cost, Quality, Resource, Communication, Risk, Procurement, Stakeholder Management) and their significance in project management.
  4. The Overall 49 Project Processes
    • Detailed discussion on the five process groups (Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring & Controlling, Closing) and their corresponding processes.
  5. The FIVE Project Life Cycle Phases
    • In-depth look at each phase (Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring & Controlling, Closing) and how they interconnect.
    • Additional Important Scope (Optional Topics)
    • Introduction to tools and software used in project management (e.g., Microsoft Project, Trello).
    • Discussion on stakeholder engagement strategies.
Day 02: Agile Methodologies
  1. Introduction to Agile Principles and Values
    • Overview of the Agile Manifesto.
    • Discussion on the four core values and twelve principles of Agile.
  2. Overview of Agile Frameworks (Scrum & Kanban)
    • Detailed examination of Scrum roles (Product Owner, Scrum Master, Development Team) and events (Sprints, Daily Stand-ups).
    • Introduction to Kanban principles and practices.
  3. Implementing Agile Practices in Project Management
    • How to transition from traditional methods to Agile practices.
    • Tools that support Agile methodologies (e.g., Jira).
  4. Facilitating Agile Ceremonies Effectively
    • Best practices for conducting Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  5. Adapting Traditional Techniques to an Agile Environment
    • Strategies for integrating traditional project management techniques with Agile practices.
