WSQ Build a Positive Work Environment

Course introduction

This course aims to provide the learner with the knowledge and skills to identify talents as defined by the organisation and by operational needs, and how to cultivate good relationships within a team. It also builds on the knowledge and skills of talent identification and interviewing, and applies these towards fostering good team relationships within a department. 

Upon successful completion and assessment of the course, participants will receive a formal recognition through the award of a Statement(s) of Attainment (SOA).

The SOA is a nationally recognised qualification indicating the participant’s ability or competence in a particular area. This means that the participant is certified by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) as being able to perform a task appropriate to his/her occupational level and work demands.

The number of SOA received for the successful completion of this course is 2.

Upon successful completion and assessment of all five courses (Develop Professional Competence, Build a Positive Work Environment, Achieve Team Results, Develop Team Capabilities and Manage Change), participants will also receive a formal recognition through the award of the WSQ Professional Diploma in Leadership and People Management. 

The WSQ Professional Diploma in Leadership and People Management is a nationally recognised qualification indicating that the participants are able to apply and contextualise leadership and people management skills and knowledge in a range of work activities.



Course Outline


Learners will be able to:

  • Plan, prepare and conduct interview
  • Build effective networks and leverage on diversity to achieve department outcomes
