Course introduction

The CPR and AED Course is designed equip safety personnel with the knowledge in identifying accidents
with casualties and to perform first aid skills at the workplace, and the participant will get

Knowledge and skills on both CPR and AED
Simplifies the process for individual and layperson to learn CPR techniques while effectively applying the AED (automated external defibrillator), a device which can shock a dying heart rhythm going back to life.
Participants will be trained according to the latest release of national guidelines on CPR and AED

Module Code: CPR and AED Course
Module Title: Understand the cardiovascular system and its importance, Able to recognize an unconscious victim, and commence early, Able to use an AED correctly, safely and rapidly when available, Anatomy and physiology of the circulatory system on the heart
Chain of survival, Principles of resuscitation, Universal precautions, Resuscitation sequence and techniques for one-man CPR
Introduction on AED, features & Indications Dangers associated with AED operations and safety precaution. Chest preparation, Electrode pad placement AED procedure, and troubleshooting documentation & housekeeping
