Course introduction

Recognized qualification to register as a WSH Coordinator under the WSH Act. Learn how to investigate and report Workplace Safety and Health incidents relating to the process plant industry Be able to coordinate the implementation of emergency preparedness and response plans related to the process plant industry The WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (ACWSH) qualification is designed for individuals who keen to join the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) profession as a WSH Coordinator. This course is a recongnized qualification for registration as a WSH Coordinator under the Workplace Safety and Health Act.

Additional Note
Participants are recommended to have attained the following before enrolling for the course:
  • ES Workplace Literacy and Numeracy Level 5 OR
  • WSH AND GCE N Level English  & Mathematics Grade 5 AND
  • Possess WSH skills and knowledge equivalent to that of Certificate in WSH with at least 1 year of WSH relevant working experience
Exemptions:
Trainees who have attended any of the following Ministry of Manpower (MOM) courses will be exempted from the elective modules:

Trainee will received exemption if they have completed the following modules:

A copy of the certificate must be submitted to be eligible for the exemption.
This exemption is only applicable if you pursue the "WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health" Qualification.



Target Audience


Should Attend
This course is relevant to trainees who are currently holding position as  WSH Coordinator, SHE Coordinator,
HSE Coordinator, EHS Coordinator, Safety Coordinator or WSH Supervisor.

Course Outline
Trainees are required to complete the following nine modules.

  • Investigate and Report WSH incidents
  • Coordinate Implementation of Emergency Preparedness and Response Plans
  • Measure, Monitor and Report WSH Performance
  • Administer WSH Policy
  • Identify WSH Hazards and Implement Control Measures
  • Coordinate WSH Management System with Legal Compliance
  • Promote WSH Culture Development
  • Facilitate Effective Communication and Engagement at the Workplace
  • Solve Problems & Make Decisions at Supervisory Level
In addition, trainee is to complete one of the elective unit below.
  • Supervise Workplace Safety and Health in Process Plant
  • Supervise WSH in Construction Industries
  • Supervise WSH in Marine Industries

Written Assessment, Oral questioning, Written Report
Certification Obtained and Conferred by
Statement of Attainment

Participants will recieve a full certificate  (Advanced Certificate in WSH) and a transcript after completion of all modules.
