WSQ Basic Food Hygiene Refresher Course (WSQ Follow Food and Beverage Safety and Hygiene Policies and Procedures - Refresher)

Course introduction

Food handlers will now be required to attend their first refresher training five years after completing their Basic Food Hygiene Course (BFHC) and the subsequent ones at 10-year intervals, instead of the previous cycle of once every three years. If you have completed your BFHC course before 1 Oct 2014, you are required to attend your first refresher training three years after your course completion date instead of 5 years. Upon successful completion of course and assessment, learners will be awarded a Statement of Attainment (SOA) issued by the SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG). If you require classes that are not in our schedule, please contact us for assistance. SDF (SSG) funding up to 95% of course fees available for S'poreans and PRs. SkillsFuture Credit funding available for S'poreans. All terms and conditions apply.

  • Personnel primarily involved in the serving of F&B products to customers (e.g. managers, captains, waiters, cashiers, and other service staff)

  • Entrepreneurs



Course Outline


Through our experiential classroom training, learners will learn how to:

  • Maintain personal hygiene
  • Maintain food preparation and service utensils and equipment
  • Handle food safely
  • Maintain food preparation, service and storage areas
