Course Introduction

The Diploma in Accountancy programme consists of 8 modules and may be completed in 8 months. It aims to prepare students for further studies in the fields of business and accountancy. In the Diploma in Accountancy programme, students will examine the underpinning foundations of business and its environment, particularly in the disciplines of Accounting, Banking and Finance. It further builds knowledge and skills in analysing business performance through the preparation and investigation of financial statements and records. Over and above these experiences, students should be able to critically read, write, research materials and think analytically upon successful completion of the programme.

Minimum Class Size

Minimum class size: 20 students
Class may commence with fewer students than indicated above, subject to resource availability. In the event of cancellation, you will be notified at least 1 week before the programme commencement date, stated in your student contract with Kaplan, and our consultants will contact you to advise on a backup plan.

Entry Requirements

Academic Requirements

Kaplan Foundation Diploma; OR
Minimum 1 GCE A-Level pass; OR
Other private or foreign qualifications will be assessed on a case-by-case basis (based on the equivalence to the GCE A-Level); OR
Mature candidates (30 years old and above, with a minimum of 8 years of work experience)

English Language Requirements

At least C6 in GCE O-Level English or equivalent

The total tuition fee covers registration, lectures/tutorials/workshops and main assessments such as assignments/tests/examinations/projects (where applicable), programme materials in digital format, Diploma (if earned) and e-transcript.

The Student Development Fee covers the provision of a comprehensive range of initiatives aimed at enhancing the career and industry-readiness of Kaplan students, such as programmes aimed at improving interpersonal skills, technical and digital skills, as well as career advisory and job matching services.
