The rapid changes in business paractices, increased globalization, technological (IT) advanceds, and increased expectiations by top management are forcing purchasing professionals to take a more proactive approach in the ways purchasing functions and responsibilities are been managed today. Managing the changes in the purchasing function, environment and management expectations in which it operates significantly affect the ideal skills required to maximize the purchasing function's potential and contribution towards organization's objectives and goals.
