Course introduction

Introduction


This Hospitality and Tourism Management Degree course prepares students for a career in the hospitality and tourism industries. Students will gain an applied understanding of the theories and concepts of hospitality and tourism management, general business and management disciplines.

Students will also learn practical and transferrable skills in research, academic writing, communication and interpersonal relations, presentation and time management.

Local Qualifications

Direct Entry to Year 3

  • Local Polytechnic Diploma in hospitality and tourism-related fields; OR
  • Other private institutions advance diplomas in hospitality and tourism-related fields; OR
  • Students with other qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis
For all cases, students’ admission to this programme ultimately depends on the University’s final decision.

English Language Requirements
  • 1 GCE ‘O’ level English (grade C6) or equivalent; OR
  • IELTS score of at least 6.0 with no element less than 5.5; OR
  • PSB Academy’s Certificate in English Proficiency course; OR
  • PSB Academy’s Certificate in Academic English course; OR
  • An equivalent English language qualification

Programme Duration


  • Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality and Tourism Management (Top-Up)
    Students will be studying 3 modules per trimester and complete within 12* to 20 months.
     
  • Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Hospitality and Tourism Management (Top-Up)
    Students will be studying 3 modules per trimester and complete within 20* to 28 months.

    *Only for students with direct entry to academic Year 3.

Singapore-based Students/International Students

  • Direct Entry to Year 3 (6 Modules – Without Honours): S$12,390.60 (payable in 3 instalments)
  • Optional Year 4 (With Honours): S$28,911.40 (payable in 3 instalments)
     
  • All fees are inclusive of 7% GST and may be subject to change annually.
