Course introduction

Introduction


The Business & Management, Tourism Management Programme is designed to develop the relevant combination of knowledge and workplace skills. This will prepare and equip you with the necessary competencies to launch your business career. 

In this module you will take a specialist module in Tourism: Contemporary Issues. Contemporary manifestations of heritage, culture, sustainability and ethics within tourism are analysed, alongside discussions of the implications of climate change and the growth in ICT for tourism practice.

Concept, business plan & web page, presentation, individual assignment, group presentation and time limited assignment, dissertation etc…        

Duration

Full-Time (12 months)

The full-time degree programmes are conducted on a 5 days week (Monday to Friday) basis with lessons either from 9.30am to 12.30pm or 2.30pm to 5.30pm on a daily basis.

Part-Time (12 months)
The part-time degree programmes are conducted on a twice weekly basis with lessons from 7pm to 10pm.

Exit Qualification – All students who have completed all 5 prescribed modules (120 credits) with a minimum pass mark of at least 40% will graduate with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Business and Management (Tourism Management) awarded by Bath Spa University.
