About the Programme
All business degrees at Portsmouth foster the development of a range of appropriate work skills, such as verbal and written communication, teamwork, career planning and time management. The degrees have a strong contemporary feel and relate the theoretical explanation of business to the practical issues facing managers in the twenty-first century.

Objectives
To provide a framework for understanding the Human Resource management function and the contribution it can make to achieving organisational goals

To provide an appreciation of disciplines underlying the study of business and knowledge of other business functional areas

To encourage ongoing critical, evaluative and strategic ways of thinking in all areas

To provide links and or a platform for the eventual professional development with specific reference to the field of Human Resource Management

To integrate research undertaken by academic staff into teaching

Duration
Minimum of 12 months (Full-time basis)

Entry Requirements
* IELTS - A minimum overall band score of 6.0, OR
* TOEFL - Paper-based test a minimum of 550, OR
* ENG - A minimum score of 300, OR
* Informatics Proficiency in English Programme, OR
* Other equivalent English qualifications

Applicants whose qualifications were conducted in a medium other than English, are required to undertake an Informatics English Placement Test to ascertain their level of competency in the language.

Minimum 21 years of age

International Advanced Diploma in Business Administration (with W2007), OR

Advanced Diploma* (HR-related) from Private Intuitions (Subject to University’s approval)
