Course introduction

Introduction

Computing and Information Technology plays a signification role in supporting a modern society that we live in today. Having a diploma in this field will provide students with a deep understanding of theories and merging technologies. The knowledge and experience will allow students to develop cutting-edge solutions that address today’s challenges. Students equip with a solid foundation in Computing and Information Technology, applied knowledge, understanding and skills for a career in Computing and Information Technology across any sector. It is also developing a wide range of skills and techniques, personal qualities and attributes essential for successful performance and immediate contribution to employment. This course is ideal for anyone at the beginning of their career or looking to improve their qualifications or career prospects in Computing and Information Technology and its related industries.

Entry Requirements

Obtained at least 2 GCE A-Level passes including Mathematics and *English; OR
Obtained International Baccalaureate Diploma (at least 24 points) or other equivalent pre-university certifications; OR
Completion of GSTM Diploma (Specialized in Computing and Information Technology) or equivalent; OR
NUS High School Diploma; OR
Polytechnic Diploma (e.g. Diploma in Business Information System/ Information Technology/ Computing related field); OR
Other PEI qualification (e.g. Diploma in Business Information System/ Information Technology/ Computing related field that is equivalent to GSTM’s Diploma) will be assessed on a case by case basis; OR
Matured student: At least 30 years old with at least 8 years of relevant working experiences will be considered.

English Language Requirement:

*A pass in English at GCE ‘O’ Level, or IELTS 5.0 and or equivalent; OR

Completed a prior Diploma or equivalent where the medium of instruction is English
