The programme aims to equip students with knowledge and competencies in managing interior decorations and landscape designs for residential, commercial and retail projects. It opens up opportunities for students to embark on careers as technical specialists with exhibition, interior design and landscape firms.
Graduates will also be armed with the skills to set up their own practices by providing consultancy services in areas of indoor and outdoor space planning, furnishing, lighting and landscape design. Students will be trained to integrate design with construction technology creatively and to present design schemes progressively through the programme, culminating in the final integrated project .
This programme will also develop students’ analytical and creative thinking skills, and train them in management and supervisory techniques so as to meet the demands of today’s business environment.
Students will be required to undergo a 16-week industrial attachment by putting their skills and acquired knowledge into practice and hence gain valuable experience before joining the workforce.
3 GCE ‘O’ LEVELS
a) English Language (EL1) - Grade 1 to 7;
b) Mathematics - Grade 1 to 6; and
c) Any relevant subject - Grade 1 to 6; or
ITE Higher NITEC or GCE ‘N’ levels and NITEC with a minimum GPA of 2.75 in a relevant discipline.
Students who have attempted GCE ‘O’ levels but do not meet the specified grade in English or Mathematics may apply to BCA Academy to take an English or Mathematics test for the Academy to assess their eligibility for admission.
Candidates with other academic qualifications and related experiences may be considered for admission on a case-by-case basis.
Upon successful completion of the programme, graduates have the potential to become the new generation of specialists in the niche area of sustainability development. Graduates will be able to perform
