This course requires students to have previously completed a diploma in a relevant discipline in order to gain necessary advanced standing. The course consists of 9 units and may be completed in a minimum of 16 months.
A member of The International Centre of Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality (THE-ICE). Members of THE-ICE have attained high standards of program excellence in tourism and hospitality education as assessed by an international panel.
Students will attend a combination of lectures, tutorials and workshops in this course. This Bachelor of Commerce course consists of 9 units and may be completed in a minimum of 16 months, by enrolling in 2-3 units per trimester over 4 academic trimesters. Each unit is supported with 36 contact hours over the duration of a trimester, conducted on weekday evenings and weekends to suit the busy schedules of students enrolled in this course.Assessment Methods
Each unit will be assessed by class participation, written assignment, presentation and/or examination. Examinations will normally be held after office hours.
Students who successfully complete the course will be awarded the prestigious Bachelor of Commerce in Hospitality & Tourism Management . The degree will be the same as that awarded to on-campus students of the University. Graduates will be allowed to use the title BCom (Murdoch) after their names.
The tuition fee covers university registration, study guides, textbooks, intensive seminars and workshops, assignments, examination (if applicable), projects, degree (if earned) and transcript.
